Kalster next to the Akiyoshidai Karst Observatory is the base facility of the Mine Akiyoshidai Geopark.
There is a free rest space and a cafe where you can relax while watching the tourist information center and Akiyoshidai.

Akiyoshido entrance street
On the main road from the parking lot to Akiyoshi-dong, there are various shops selling miscellaneous goods, pottery, accessories and local sake of the writer.
There is also a specialty tangerine soft ice cream and so on, so it is also recommended to take a stroll.
Karst Road
Prefectural road 242, a karst road of Akiyoshidai that passes through a large grassland that lasts about 8 km.
It is a pleasant road with a feeling of openness and a feeling of running in the green colored meadow.
How to enjoy nature in Akiyoshidai is different. We recommend taxis and rental cycles.
Akiyoshidai Karst Observatory
From the observatory, you can overlook the limestone plateau and the grasslands of Akiyoshidai, and from the circular 2nd floor observatory you can enjoy a 360-degree panorama. The stunning views of Japan's largest karst plateau, Akiyoshidai, cannot be described in a single word of excitement.

There is a general tourist information center in the Akiyoshidai Tourism Exchange Center.
The tourist information center next to Akiyoshido Bus Terminal offers tourist information and accommodation facilities in Mine City including Akiyoshidai and Akiyoshido, taxi agency, and bus ticket sales.

Mine Akiyoshidai Geopark
Geopark is a word that combines "Earth and Earth (Geo)" and "Park (Park)". It means "Earth Park". A place where you can do it. Akiyoshidai Geopark is one of the Japan Geoparks approved by the Japan Geopark Committee.
Mine Akiyoshidai Geo Tour
At the Geopark, locals can guide you on a journey to find "greatness" (called a "geo tour"). One of the most recommended tours with Akiyoshidai Certified Guide is the trekking along the grassland of Akiyoshidai and the course to explore the limestone cave. Exploration of the cave can be enjoyed anytime except during heavy rains.
